Several recent faculty members hired in the College of Computing, Engineering, and Construction have been friends of the Dean and friends of faculty members he has hired. Is this a common practice at UNF? What can you do to insure that the best nationally qualified individuals are hired?

Last year two assistant professors in the College of Business received raises of $10,000 each. On what basis were these raises given? If this is the policy of the university, did other assistant professors in other colleges receive similar raises, and if so what was the amount? If not, why not?
