WA - Indicates administrative withdrawal from a course or courses necessitated by
University requirements. This grade is non-punitive and the current refund policy is applicable.

WX- Indicates administrative withdrawal from a course or courses necessitated by
University requirements. This grade is punitive and no fees are refunded.

Rationale: The administrative withdrawal policy was passed in the Faculty Association
and adopted by the University last year. This language broadens the range of options
available to a faculty member. The non- punitive and punitive options need to be clearly
listed in the UNF catalog (pp.28-29).
