Revision of Rule #4 for Use of the Faculty
Commons
Single Eevents which would monopolize most
of the Commons, or which are so noisy that they would disrupt the
primary use of the Commons by others faculty,
are prohibited from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through
Friday. The Commons may be reserved, evenings and weekends, for
faculty functions that might include students, parents, alumni,
and non-faculty. Such events are limited to those approved
in advance by the Faculty Affairs Committee
Director of Faculty Enhancement or his/her designee
in advance. Such events must be of likely interest to most
faculty or have general faculty implications. Persons
seeking to schedule events must submit a written request, to the
Director of Faculty Enhancement, in which the nature of the event
and its relevance to faculty is clearly articulated. At the end
of each academic year, in April, the Director of Faculty Enhancement
will submit a copy of all such requests and an indication of their
disposition to the Faculty Affairs Committee.
