Bylaws Revision - First Reading

SECTION 4. Paragraph J. The Promotion and Tenure Appeals Committee shall review, according to the departments' most recent promotion and tenure bylaws/guidelines and the University's promotion and tenure criteria, all nominations for faculty promotions and tenure which have been presented to the Chief Academic Officer of the University in which there are differences among recommendations of the departmental committee, the department chairperson, the college committee, and/or the college dean. The Committee may also review, if individual candidates wish, those cases in which the recommendations have been uniformly negative. The Committee shall submit its recommendations in all cases to the Chief Academic Officer of the University.
