BAE: Special Education - Varying Exceptionalities

The Florida Department of Education mandated specific course topics and credit hours for each area of the General Education Program. These mandates require specifying certain General Education courses or sequences of courses and eliminate many choices students would have under the UNF General Education Plan. Further, the DOE plan requires more General Education hours in certain areas than does UNF. The APC 3 page 3 description provides a comparison for each area. In all cases, the UNF General Education requirements are met.

The Lower Division "6-12" Physical Education Program (AA) is being terminated because the Upper Division "6-12" Physical Education Program (BA) is also being terminated. [This action is a result of the distinct Upper Division "K-8" Physical Education Program (BA) now being changed (expanded) to an Upper Division "K-12" Physical Education Program (BA). All lower and upper division physical education courses will be retained and unchanged for use in the new upper division "K-12" Physical Education Program (BA).]
