This class is for the advanced composition student. The emphasis at this level will be on technical excellence, musical sophistication and originality. It is expected that students in this class will work on larger, multi-movement projects. Performance of finished works on Performance Lab or in a special recital is encouraged.

Larger individual projects will provide a focus for the semester's work. An individual composition recital is encouraged for students completing this sixth semester of study.
