in Educational Leadership and change the amount variable
credit from 3-9 credit hours to 1-9 credit hours.
The change in title is being requested to more accurately
reflect the practicum needs of our students.
The old title is too specific to the principalship and
many of our students require practicums in other areas of
leadership, for example at the district office level, therefore
the need to change the title to Practicum in Educational Leadership
to better meet the needs of students employment interests. The change in variable credit hours is requested
because educational leadership preparations programs within the
state as well as nationally have been encouraged to build more
practical experiences into our course work.
This provides the opportunity for students and/or faculty
to identify practicum needs throughout the students program of
study.
