Music/Performers Certificate Program

This program will bring top-flight young artists to UNF to study applied music with a sponsoring professor.  It is anticipated that the majority of Performers Certificate students will be of post-baccalaureate status, specialize in voice or piano, and come from foreign countries.  These students' presence will raise the standards of the music program, provide performers for ensembles, and serve as accompanists.  A limited number of foreign musicians will be invited to study at UNF for four semesters under the guidance of a sponsoring major applied professor. Each student's activities, totaling at least 22 hours weekly for visa purposes, will be directed jointly by the Department chair and the sponsoring professor.  This non-degree program has been successful at other institutions.
