The Faculty Association of North Florida endorses the following motions passed by the Advisory Council of Faculty Senates (ACFS):

Motion #1 passed:
The ACFS strongly encourages that there be faculty representation in the construction of rules and/or bylaws that will govern the university's Board of Trustees and those rules or bylaws that define the roles and responsibilities of faculty in shared governance.

Motion # 2 passed:
ACFS and UNF Faculty Association leadership will explore possibilities for cooperative arrangements with other faculty organizations in order to promote the interests of university faculty.

(Note: Other faculty organizations may include local community college coalitions with UFF (with the word of caution that community colleges are competing with universities on some campuses)

Motion #3 passed:
The ACFS urges each faculty senate/faculty association to work toward the strongest possible official representation or an advisory role for the faculty senate/faculty association leadership at all Board of Trustees activities.
