is a proposal to create a new track in engineering physics,
civil engineering, within the physics program. This track
has the support of students who completed a Fall 2000
survey and of the Director of the engineering program.
The 60-hour track will draw from existing offerings and

Changes
in the Physics Minor |
| This
is a proposal to change the structure of the minor in physics
program. The changes include: (a) increasing the number
of hours required for a minor from 18 to 20-22, (b) increasing
the upper division course requirement from four semester
hours to two courses, and (c) removing three courses from
the current list of upper division course options. These
changes will assure that students with a minor in physics
have had at least two appropriate advanced courses in the
discipline. No new courses or faculty are required for
this change. |
