Redistribution of TIP and PEP Monies

For the 1999-2000 Academic Year

TIP and PEP monies returned to the University and currently available, as a result of the original recipients leaving the University, should be added to the pool of money to be used to fund the Summer 2000 Faculty Development Initiatives (i.e., Summer Scholarship Grants, Summer Teaching Grants, Faculty Colloquy, Mini-Grants, Proposal Development Grants, and the Undergraduate Research Award Program).

For the Future

If the Legislature fails to fund the TIP and PEP programs:

Monies from awards returned to the University should continue to be distributed through the Summer Faculty Development Initiatives program, until such time as five TIP and/or three PEP awards have been accumulated. When the five TIP and/or three PEP awards have accumulated, the appropriate selection process or processes shall be initiated, in order to select new recipients for those awards.

If the Legislature chooses to fund the TIP and/or PEP programs:

The appropriate accumulated awards shall simply be added to the pool of available awards for distribution through the appropriate selection process or processes.
