This program change request is: to add two courses -- a required one credit hour junior seminar which will serve as an introduction to the science and profession of psychology and a lower division elective entitled "Personal Growth"; (2) to reduce the prerequisites for Advanced Child Psychology and Advanced Adolescent Psychology; (3) to add prerequisites for Honors Research; and (4) to add a required exit interview and examination for all graduating seniors.

This course deals with the native music of Indian Asia, China, Japan, Korea, and Africa. Students will become acquainted with the music of these countries and continents through selected musical examples and extensive listening assignments.

Department of Mathematics and Statistics

This course is primarily based on a discovery approach to plane Euclidean geometry. Triangles, quadrilaterals, regular polygons, circles, and other geometric figures will be investigated. Logical reasoning will be used to prove or disapprove conjectures. Computer programs such as Geometer's Sketchpad might be used in this course. This course cannot be used to fulfill a degree requirement in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Prerequisites: 9 hours of college mathematics. This course is required in the middle school degree/ certification program.
