MEMORANDUM

TO:                     Dr. William “Chip” Klostermeyer

FROM:              John A. Delaney
                           Henry Thomas

SUBJECT:        Questions posed at 10/4 Faculty Association Meeting

The following responses are provided to the questions posed at October 4 th Faculty Association Meeting.

1. Since there were no pay raises this year, will the work of the faculty done during the last year “be lost?”

Response: The University Administration and the United Faculty of Florida have already been in discussions regarding the need to ensure that the work of our faculty that is done during a year when no pay raises are available is not lost. The specific approach for accomplishing that shared goal has not yet been decided but the parties are committed to making it happen.

 2. Why were the most recent collective bargaining sessions seemingly done out of the sunshine, with no public notice?
Response:
The UA and UFF regret that no public notices of the bargaining sessions held this summer were issued. We will make sure that all such notices are provided for future sessions.
