1. March 5 - Theft (Lot 12) - UPD was dispatched in reference to a stolen parking permit. The student said she remembered seeing the permit when she left her car, but when she returned she had a parking ticket and noticed the permit was gone. She said she had to go out of town and didn't report the theft until the next day. The student said all the doors were locked and the windows were rolled up.
2. March 12 - Alcohol investigation (Building Q) - On a routine patrol, UPD saw two students physically restraining another. The officer stopped and the two students restraining the other said they were trying to calm him down because he was in a fist fight with another student just minutes before. When the officer went to talk to the student being restrained, he smelled like alcohol. He was taken to the university police station where he blew a 0.143. The suspect was then transferred to Ten Broeck Hospital for treatment.
3. March 12 - Vehicle damage (Building 38) - A student parked her car in the garage. When she returned later in the day, a small piece of concrete was on the car's trunk. An investigation by UPD revealed the concrete fell from the parking garage's support beam and fell on the vehicle's roof. The car was left with a dent.
4. March 13 - Theft (Building 12) - A student reported her wallet was stolen from her handbag while she was studying. The wallet contained a driver's license, two credit cards, a social security card and $11.
5. March 13 - Drug investigation (Building Y) - A RA found a homemade water bong in one of the rooms during a routine welfare check. Neither of the students were present when UPD arrived. The bong was destroyed, and the roommates were referred to Student Conduct.
6. March 13 - Battery (Building X) - UPD was called in reference to an injured student. When they arrived the victim had a large cut above his eye, a fat lip and another cut on his chin. He was actively bleeding. The student kept saying he didn't want the police involved but finally told them he was jumped by another student. UPD was able to confirm the aggressor. Witnesses said they saw the two fighting but were unable to see who threw the first punch. They were both taken to the university station for questioning and the incident appeared to be a mutual fight. No arrests were made.
