Oct. 17 - Simple Battery
After a couple was overheard screaming at each other, a university police department officer was dispatched to Building W of the Landing. The officer met with a resident assistant and was advised that the screaming could be heard coming from upstairs in Building W. The RA had previously seen a female screaming and barefoot, holding her shoes in her hand. The officer made contact with the female suspect who stated she had gotten into a fight with her boyfriend over another girl. The couple was in the boyfriend's car at the time of the fight. The girlfriend kicked his CD player and broke his key chain. After returning to his room on campus, the girlfriend scratched and hit her boyfriend a number of times. The boyfriend declined the right to prosecute concerning the battery incident. The officer recommended both suspects to student conduct, and the case was suspended due to their refusal to seek prosecution against each other.

Oct. 21 - Drug Investigation
- Two men outside Building X of Osprey Landing approached an RA asking if he would like to purchase marijuana or Xanax. After telling the suspects that he was an RA and that what they were doing was illegal, the men fled from the scene and the RA called the UPD. After arriving and being told of the situation, the UPD officer found the suspects behind Osprey Hall. After asking them about the situation, the suspects told the officer it was nonsense and that they were "just joking." One of the suspects was uncooperative throughout the investigation, and he indicated that the situation between him and the RA was not over. One of the suspects who isn't a UNF student, was issued a trespass warning while the UNF resident was referred to Student Conduct. After the investigation, the suspect with the grudge against the RA told a witness that he was "gonna get" the RA.
