College of Health named in honor of Brooks

By Khorey Baker
Contributing Writer

A $3.6 million donation from Brooks Rehabilitation has resulted in a name change to the College of Health – it will now be known as the Brooks College of Health. The University of North Florida announced the renaming of the college March 31.

The donation will be matched by the state of Florida, resulting in a total donation of $7.2 million, according to a UNF press release. In addition to a previous $1.4 million donation in 1996, also matched by the state, Brooks Rehabilitation donations total $10 million. This amount equals donations made by the university’s greatest donor, the Coggin Family.
