Branding campaign aims to give school new nationwide image

The University of North Florida wants to be known as the school that puts students first — not the little Florida school that doesn’t have a football team.
The university is launching a new branding campaign that aims to put a visual identity on itself — an identity that University President John Delaney said he hoped will contrast UNF with other state universities and give the school a unique look.
Delaney will announce the new branding campaign Aug. 18 at an unveiling ceremony. As part of the campaign, UNF has adopted a new visual identity with re-created logos for the university as well as the athletics department and also created a new commitment and tagline — “No one like you. No place like this.”
But UNF officials said the campaign was more than just a new logo and look. Above all, it focuses on a commitment to attract students, faculty and staff to UNF by way of the university’s unique attributes, Delaney said.
