Dr. Stuart Chalk, assistant professor of chemistry at the University of North Florida, received the first patent awarded to a UNF professor Sept. 18 for an invention that takes timed samples in remote locations without human involvement for up to three months. full story




List circulation stopped

The University of North Florida's assistant athletic director said the athletics department has been advised to discontinue circulation of a list of recommended classes sent to student-athletes via e-mail Nov. 9 and the department has no plans to compile a similar list in the future.
