Michigan DI Open HouseGreetings to DPD Students! On behalf of Joyce Kerestes, our Dietetic Internship Program Director, I am pleased to announce the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers Open Houses and Tour Dates for graduating seniors who plan to begin a Dietetic Internship in the fall of 2008. Distance Dietetic InternshipsSome of you have expressed an interest in Distance Dietetic Internships. Here is a listing of the CADE accredited Distance Dietetic Internships located by a google search September 2007. Distance programs allow you to set up activities with a Preceptor in your local area, and in most cases, travel for a limited period of time to the site of the dietetic internship. You should know that setting up your own activities/preceptors is more difficult in general and specifically in the Jacksonville/Duval County area because of the large number of interns already in this area in the UNF, Pasco County/Duval County and St. Luke’s/Mayo Clinic dietetic internships. However, other urban areas in Florida, particularly central Florida, may be available to you. We have some graduates who have attended some of these programs.
