  • About the VALOR program:
  • This residency program gives the student an opportunity to develop competence in nursing, as well as, explore the world of VA excellence.
  • The student will be assigned to a nurse-preceptor in either ICU, SICU, MICU, or a geriatric unit depending on the VA hospital.
  • BENEFITS INCLUDE:
  • Salary up to 80-90% of the entry level for new graduates.
  • No service obligation.
  • Potential to be hired at a VA hospital.
  • VALOR student work time is credited toward retirement when you choose to work for the VA after graduation.
