April – (Spring 2009)
With the Empowered event leaving this semester on a great note for UNF SHRM, April has been a month to recollect new ideas and opportunities to bring into the new semesters. Earlier this month we appointed new Board members to fill multiple positions left vacant by graduating seniors. A huge thank you goes out to the graduating board members Janna Hamm, Adrienne Dailey, Andrea Yagecic, and John Duda for their dedication and commitment to making the '08-'09 school year a huge success.

- Director of Chapter Information Systems: Richard Bozian
- Director of Communication: Ashley Maxwell
- Director of Community Relations and Development: Nicole Barrett
- Director of Finance (Treasurer): Ashley Legaspi
- Director of the SHRM Merit Award: Elizabeth Johnston
Later this month, the SHRM JAX Annual 2009 Gala & Conference will be held at the Sawgrass Marriott and we look forward to attending and volunteering at this event. Lastly, we are holding weekly Study Sessions for individuals wanting to sit for the PHR certification. So far, we have had two group meetings on Friday evenings and there are fourteen participants. This group is open to any SHRM member sitting for the PHR or looking for more knowledge in the HR field. We are excited to have a full board and looking forward to yet another great semester here at UNF.
