Executive Agencies
Student Government Agencies serve as administrative divisions of the Executive Branch of Student Government and are created, funded, and managed entirely by Student Government to provide activities and services to the UNF student body. The Student Government Agencies—The African American Student Union, Club Alliance, Osprey Productions, and the Volunteer Center—are the arms of Student Government, reaching out to the student body and inspiring them to get involved.

The African American Student Union (AASU) is responsible for the development and implementation of cultural enrichment through activities and educational workshops that reflect the various interests of the University of North Florida student body with a special focus on the African American culture. We do stress, however, that it is a culturally based organization open to all ethnic groups.
We coordinate a wide variety of programming from poetry and game nights, to lectures and comedy shows. We also provide several opportunities for community service, student leadership development, and community activism. The African American Student Union has something for everyone.
AASU operates as a family realizing that “Unity is Our Strength.” Becoming a member will foster lasting relationships and enrich you social, cultural, and diverse perspectives.

Osprey Productions is an Agency of Student Government at the University of North Florida. As the University’s student-run programming board, it is the mission of Osprey Productions to provide a wide variety of entertainment to UNF students at little or no cost. Osprey Productions is comprised of four committees: The Playlist, Shenanigans, Soap Box Ed., and Stage and Screen. The Playlist organizes free concerts held on the Amphitheatre, the Green, and the UNF Boathouse. Shenanigans provides random and quirky events such as magic shows, karaoke, laser tag and comedy routines. Soap Box Ed. hosts open mic nights, poetry events, speakers, and other spoken word events. Stage and Screen has weekly movie screenings, stage performances, and “Dive-in” movies at the UNF Aquatic Center. Each committee is led by one of Osprey Productions’ committee chairs as appointed by the director and assistant director. Osprey Productions is also responsible for large-scale concerts and comedy shows at the UNF Amphitheatre and Arena. Osprey Productions works closely with Student Government to organize events such as the Osprey Tailgate Classic and Homecoming.
All Osprey Productions events are paid for using Activity and Service (A&S) fees allocated to the Agency by Student Government. Students are welcome to join Osprey Productions at any time during the year. Stop by our office in the Student Union in the East building, room 3102, call us at (904)620-2460.
