March 7-10   The Importance of Being Earnest in Four Acts. Presented by the UNF Corbomite players, this production of Oscar Wilde's play is hilariously funny and is open to everyone. Shows start at 7:30 nightly in The UNF Robinson Theater with a special matinee on Saturday beginning at 2:00. All showing are free but donations are greatly appreciated.

Philosophy Coffee Cup Circle
. Located in the Club Commons (Building 14, 2713) starting about 6:00 p.m. Circles are opportunities for us to get together in a relax situation and discuss different philosophical issues. March 6th's issue will be genetic engineering. Dr Pascalev will be our guest to help keep the discussion on track. Coffee Cups are regularly scheduled for every other week. Officer elections for the 2001-2002 school year will be held at the April 26 Coffee Cup.

March 28 The JU Philosophy Department and the Science and Religion Course Program of the Center for Theology and Natural Science are sponsoring a talk by Dr. Michael Ruse, a philosopher of Biology from FSU and author of several books on Darwin. The title of the talk is "Darwinism and Atheism: A Match Made in Heaven?" and will be held at the Terry Concert Hall beginning at 7:30pm. April 3 The Ethics of Globalization Panel Discussion The pros and cons of globalization handle by some of the best minds from UNF, JU and the Free Thought Society.  Discussion starts at 7:30 in Building 15 room 1303. Watch for more

April 5 Dr. Gregory Pence of the School of Medicine and the Department of Philosophy for The University of Alabama presenting his paper entitled "Who is Afraid of Human Cloning" at 7:30 p.m. in building 39/1016. Sponsored by the UNF Department of Philosophy.

April 19th or 20th  JU Philosophy Department is also sponsoring a talk by Dr. Anderson Brown of the Unviersity of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez will present a discussion titled  "The Darwinization of Everything".
