Journalism Club offices
If you are interested in becoming an officer,
please contact us ASAP.
The club is looking for students to be officers for the 2002-2003 school year.
Why should I be an officer?
As an officer, you'll develop your leadership skills,
meet lots of people, network with news media professionals,
get great experience to add to your résumé and --
most importantly -- have fun!
Am I eligible to be an officer?
If you have an interest in journalism, and an interest in the club, you might make
a good officer. You'll need to be a member of the club first before becoming an officer.

be a UNF student to be a member or an officer.
How much time will I need to commit as an officer?
Although you'll need to be dedicated to the club,
you probably won't have to devote more than six or seven hours a month
to the club, on average. The time commitment will vary widely
depending on what events are coming up. During the planning stages
of an event, officers might have to devote about four hours a week.
As the semester's end nears, and all the events for that semester
are over, the time commitment might be less than an hour a week.

The following rules apply to all offices:
If officers fail to perform the duties of their offices or are
otherwise unprofessional or ineligible, they could be asked to resign.
Each office should require an average of six hours a month of the person's
time. Officers are required to attend meetings unless they have legitimate
reasons for their absence. All club members are encouraged to apply to be officers,
regardless of age, race, gender, sexual
orientation, disability or national origin.
