The Finance and Investment Society at the University of North Florida actively manages a virtual investment fund. This group consist of both graduate and undergraduate business students. The 2008-2009 term was the inaugural year  for this program.

Each group is charged with the continuous management of, an original $1,000,000 as a professional investment firm. Each group represents one of the nine sectors: Industrials, Materials, Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staples, Technology, Healthcare, Financial, Energy, Utilities. The group is then charged with buying stocks within that sector and are competing with an equivalent  Exchange Traded Fund(ETF). For instance, the Energy Sector would would compete against XLE.  The selected students are administratively organized with officer positions and responsibilities. Teams present reports to aid in buy/sell decision making.
