A Letter From the Chair:

Our mission is to represent the Coggin College of Business as a service group to both the University and Jacksonville business communities. The Coggin Ambassadors offers an array of opportunities including but not limited to, Relationship networking, community service, and event coordination.

The Coggin Ambassadors assist at a variety of events sponsored by CCB such as the Business Affiliates Breakfast, the Distinguished Business Leaders Luncheon, the Business Advisory Council meeting, Welcome Back Cookout, CCB graduation reception, and more.

On the second Saturday of every month, the Coggin Ambassadors volunteer at Dignity-U-Wear from 9am-2pm.  This organization donates brand new clothes to families in need.  This is a great opportunity to help those who are less fortunate, and have fun at the same time!  Food and drinks are provided through the CCB.  If you would like more information, you can visit their website at http://www.dignityuwear.com.

If you have any questions or would like information about joining, email me at giun0001@unf.edu

Sincerely,

Najoua Giuma

Co-Chair

About Us:

The Coggin Ambassadors serve the purpose of promoting the Coggin College of' Business (CCB) to both the University community and the business community.  The Coggin Ambassadors provide students with opportunities to contribute to the community through volunteering, network with local business professionals, and give back to the College, which provides their education.

On the second Saturday of every month, CA hosts a volunteer event at Dignity-U-Wear open to all Coggin College of Business students.  Dignity-U-Wear is a not-for-profit organization, which receives donations of brand new clothes from companies such as Steinmart and VanHeusen, and distributes them to families in need.  We spend five hours doing tasks including counting, sorting, and boxing items.

Every semester, the Coggin Ambassadors help organize and staff the graduation reception for the CCB graduates.  The CCB also requests the assistance of the Coggin Ambassadors for the Business Advisory Council meeting each semester.  The Ambassadors check-in the guests and are able to network with the business professionals.  Coggin Ambassadors are also able to network with members of the business community each May when the CCB hosts the Distinguished Business Leaders of Jacksonville Luncheon.

The Coggin Ambassadors conduct campus tours for prospective faculty and guests and participate in focus groups in order to provide a student's perspective on important issues.  The group has been an effective resource for the CCB since its inception and plan to continue to make an impact in both the University and the greater Jacksonville business community.
