Welcome to the UNF's Student Chapter of ASME!
We are dedicated to helping students prepare in becoming a professional engineer. Throughout each semester ASME holds monthly meetings along with lectures featuring speakers on an assortment of relevant and influential topics. Each meeting consists of general updates, upcoming events and opportunities, food, and good conversation. Check out our Events page for the next meeting.

What is ASME?

Engineer Shadowing Program
Freshman and sophomore students are matched with a current engineering student who becomes their mentor. They first connect by e-mail or phone. Mentors are encouraged to invite students to organizational meetings and other students functions on campus or at industry site visits and be available to answer questions students have in regards to the engineering programs, prerequisite course work, and other issues that will help make their future transition into the engineering program go smoothly.

It doesn't require a lot of physical time, simply put them on your distribution lists for club meetings and events and be available by phone and e-mail if they have questions or need advice.

Let us know if you are interested, we encourage the juniors and seniors to participate as it is a good experience to mentor someone. Email varg0001@unf.edu.
