We hope you're preparing for one of the most amazing and best decisions you've
ever made, and are ready to embark on a life-changing journey with the truest
of freinds that will remain with you long after you graduate from the University of
North Florida. Welcome to UNF, welcome to all the opportunity that awaits you, and
WELCOME TO GREEK LIFE AT UNF!
Your new college home currently hosts 19 general fraternity and sorority
chapters and four colonies with a membership of well over 1,000 students. Overall
membership is projected to hit 2,000 UNF students by the end of the next academic
year. Greek Housing is planned to strike ground within the next 12 months. The exciting
growth continues, and you'll FIND its an incredible time to be in a fraternity or sorority
here at UNF!
Through massive community service endeavors, academic mentoring and
accountability, multiple venues and possibilities for scholarship reward
monies in the thousands, unprecedented oppportunities for Leadership across
campus including participation in Student Government, Order of Omega Greek
Honor Society, Clubs, Orientation Team Leaders, the trust of fellowship,
a network of career opportunities and connections extending far beyond college,
and serious competition within the Greek League Intramurals, you will FIND that
Greek Life at the University of North Florida literally opens up a whole
new world for you!
Within the past year the members of this Greek Community have deepened their roots.
Greek Week is bigger and better than ever, conferences across the nation have
provided more insight and enlightenment than could be imagined, new chapters and
traditions have ignited anf grown, guest speakers from around the country have
visited and shed light on important areas to change and grow, and many details
have been mapped out just for your arrival. You will FIND a well-rounded group of
friends who are waiting for you!
Students of all backgrounds and cultures have found a place for themselves and have
truly come alive within UNF fraternities and sororities. In all, Greek Life adds a dimension
to one's college experience that is not found in other organizations.
I greatly look forward to finding YOU establishing new traditions and activities, as the road is
wide-open before you to new experiences and fresh changes. The most awesome opportunity you have
in college is that of being able to design and write an exciting new chapter of your own life.
