Alumni / Advisors

If you’re local alumni in the Jacksonville area, we would like to see you! There are literally THOUSANDS of fraternity and sorority alumni from chapters across the world living right here in Jacksonville, Florida. If you are one of these champions, we would LOVE to get in contact with you and have you communicate directly with the young men and women of the UNF Greek system.

Every good and solid chapter MUST have active and supportive alumni behind them in order to ensure longevity of vision, values and direction of the chapter; every four years students will cycle out of the University of North Florida, but YOU can help give an anchor to the chapter, making sure that things do not go astray from the original vision, making sure that the chapter is consistent in its ongoing decisions and plans.

Each chapter usually has a team of 5 or 6 advisors to rely upon, and nearly every single one of UNF’s chapters does NOT have a complete team. Check the Fraternity Recruitment/Sorority Recruitment portions of this site to obtain information on which chapters are currently active at the University of North Florida.

Even if you’re not quite ready to jump-in with both feet as an advisor, the chapters here at UNF would still love to have your presence at their regular Alumni Cookouts, Chapter Meetings, or functions geared specifically toward area alumni. In addition, the Greek Life Office will periodically host official Greek Alumni Days - these events will be posted under the Announcements section of this website as they are planned.

It’s worth it all! It’s all about the IMPACT! You remember your days as a college student and how much you undoubtedly learned in those four (or five!!) years. Why not give back? We’d love to have you around to share your stories and to help us all learn from your experiences.

Information on current advisors to the chapters here at UNF can be obtained by contacting Tyler Young.

Please contact Tyler Young @ tyoung@unf.edu if you are interested in becoming an advisor to a fraternity or sorority here at the University of North Florida, or if you’re interested in becoming involved, coming to chapter meetings or regular alumni functions!
