Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences

Program Overview

The M.S. program in Mathematical Sciences is an interdisciplinary program designed to prepare the graduates for a wide variety of financially and intellectually rewarding employment opportunities. It can also serve as a pre-Ph.D. program.

Special Notes About the Program The MS in Mathematical Sciences is one of UNF's oldest degrees.
Application Information Applications are accepted fall, spring, and summer terms.
Admission Requirements In addition to satisfying general UNF criteria for admission into a graduate program, students wishing to enter the mathematical sciences master's degree program must present GRE scores and must have completed the equivalent of an undergraduate degree program in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at UNF. Applicants are expected to have an
undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 for the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate study and a minimum combined verbal and quantitative score of 1000 on the GRE. Otherwise-qualified students not satisfying the latter condition may be admitted after arranging with the graduate coordinator for a program that will remove the deficiencies.
