New Graduate Programs Begin at UNF
The Board of Governors gave approval for UNF to offer two new doctoral programs last year. The board approved doctorates in Nursing Practice and Physical Therapy. The doctorate in Nursing Practice builds on the current master's degree in nursing and will advance the School of Nursing 's flagship program in community nursing. The doctorate in Physical Therapy enables graduates to provide critical patient care as well as keep the program on track to meet changing national standards.
This is a major milestone for UNF and the Brooks College of Health.

He has been invited to meet with President Bush in Washington.
Funding Opportunity: Graduate Scholars
The Graduate School is pleased to announce a new funding opportunity for graduate students, the Graduate Scholars program, a funding program in support of graduate student’s scholarly projects.
The Graduate School will offer ten grants – five in the fall, five in the spring – to graduate students pursuing individual scholarly projects. Projects may be funded up to $500. The Graduate Council will make awards on the criteria that the funds advance the student’s scholarly work. For example, a student may need funds to present a paper at a conference, travel to a research site, or collect data for an experiment.
