Delores Auzenne Fellowship for Graduate Study
The Office of Equal Opportunity Programs at the University of North Florida announces awards for Graduate Study. This program is designed to assist Florida's State Universities in increasing the enrollment of minority students (Black, Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander, American Indian/Alaskan Native) who are enrolled in disciplines in which there is under representation of the minority group at the graduate level at the University of North Florida.
The deadline for applications for the 2008-2009 year is June 18, 2008.

Awards will not be granted to the same Auzenne Fellows for more than two academic years for those in Master's and Professional programs or four academic years for doctoral students.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:
1. Have been accepted into a master's, specialist, or doctoral program;
2. Are pursuing graduate degrees in disciplines in which minority students have low representation;
3. Have demonstrated initiative in pursuing educational goals and possess the the qualifications to assure satisfactory progress toward future educational goals;
4. Have met the eligibility requirements of 1009.40, F.S. for state financial aid awards; and
5. Are either citizens or permanent resident aliens (a copy of your card must be provided) of the United States.
Disciplines by minority groups under-represented at UNF:
Black: Biology; Business; Criminal Justice; English; History; Mathematics; Philosophy; Psychology.
Hispanic: Biology; Business; Computer Science; Education;
English; Health; History; Mathematics.
Asian or Pacific Islander: Biology; Criminal Justice; Education; English; Health;
History; Philosophy; Psychology; Public Administration.
American Indian or Alaskan Native: Biology; Business; Computer Science; Criminal Justice; Education; Health; History; Mathematics; Philosophy; Psychology.
Completed application and appropriate documentation must be submitted to the Graduate School (Building 1, Room 1351) by June 18, 2008.
Applications for the fall term are available annually after the beginning of the spring semester. Announcements containing application deadline dates are posted in key areas around campus.
