Graduate Research Symposium

The Graduate School at UNF recognizes the outstanding research work of its graduate students from all disciplines in the Graduate Research Symposium. Information for the 2015 Graduate Research Symposium will be provided at a later date.

All graduate students are encouraged to participate in this event through two opportunities:

Poster Presentation

Graduate students currently enrolled in master's or doctoral program and participating in research projects, courses, or thesis/dissertations are eligible to present their work through a poster presentation. Students must be the primary producer of the work they are presenting.

  • Posters cannot exceed 36 inches high and 60 inches wide and must be able to stand alone on a tabletop. (Tables will be available for participants' displays.)
  • Presentations will be made from noon to 2:30 p.m. Graduate students are asked to remain beside their posters as it is an opportunity to communicate their research to University and community members, family and friends.
  • Posters are to be set up one (1) hour prior to the start of the symposium.

3MT™ Three Minute Thesis Competition

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT™) is an academic research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland.

The exercise develops academic, presentation, and research communication skills and supports the development of research students' capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes in a language appropriate to an intelligent but non-specialist audience.

Only currently enrolled master's degree students actively pursuing a thesis program are eligible to participate in the 3MT™ competition.
