Janet Owen
Janet D. Owen serves as the Vice President for Governmental Affairs and an Associate General Counsel at the University of North Florida. A Jacksonville native and graduate of the University of Florida, she received her law degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1985. She was a senior associate with the Jacksonville law firm of Brant, Moore, Sapp, Macdonald & Wells prior to joining UNF as associate general counsel in 1994. In January 1998, Ms. Owen was appointed to serve as UNF’s lobbyist.

Heather Patterson
Heather Patterson serves as the Coordinator for Governmental Affairs. A Jacksonville native and graduate of the University of North Florida, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Master's Degree in Public Administration. She served as the Executive Council Assistant to Councilmember Self of the Jacksonville City Council from 1999-2005. Heather joined the Office of Governmental Affairs in January of 2007.

Heather Patterson

Heather Patterson serves as the Coordinator for Governmental Affairs.

A Jacksonville native and graduate of the University of North Florida, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Master's Degree in Public Administration. She served as the Executive Council Assistant to Councilmember Self of the Jacksonville City Council from 1999-2005. Heather joined the Office of Governmental Affairs in January of 2007.
