Jonathan T. Howe
Retired in May 2013 from presidency of of the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations after serving nearly 19 years; completed a distinguished career of military and diplomatic service retiring from the U.S. Navy as an admiral in 1992.
Graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy; earned M.A., M.A.L.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.
Past chairman of the World Affairs Council of Jacksonville; past president of Fleet Landing; past president of Rotary Club of Jacksonville.
Married more than 55 years to wife, Dr. Harriet M. Howe, who taught sociology at UNF; has six adult children.
