Warsaw Philharmonic
with Valentina Lisitsa, Pianist
The Warsaw Philharmonic is an orchestra with good bones. Its lineage stretches back a century and, in the typical Eastern European fashion, the orchestral sound is built from the bottom up, giving a rich and sonorous foundation for Maestro Antoni Wit to mold it anyway he likes. Maestro Wit, General and Artistic Director, is highly regarded and well known for championing the contemporary music of his countrymen.
Ukrainian pianist, Valentina Lisitsa, is capturing the attention of audiences throughout the world.
“…an unerring dynamic sense. Soft passages were so delicate, you were afraid to breathe, while Rachmaninoff’s chords thundered effortlessly from Lisitsa’s fingers.” – Chicago Sun Times
