Florida Birth to Three Screening and Assessment Resource Guide (2004)
The Birth to Three Screening and Assessment Resource Guide is designed
as a companion to the Florida Birth to Three Learning and Developmental
Standards to inform and support the work of school readiness programs serving
infants and toddlers in Florida. The Florida Partnership for School Readiness
utilized state and national early childhood experts who understood infant and
toddler development and best practices to develop the standards and this
resource guide. It is intended for use by a broad array of early childhood
professionals across the state. It contains information for professionals on
the purpose and significance of screening and assessment; the methods by which
we screen and assess infants' and toddlers' development; and descriptions of
selected, widely used instruments.
