The Administrative & Professional (A&P) and University Support Personnel (USP) Associations will hold an award ceremony for the 2009 Gabor / UNF Foundation Award on Wednesday, September 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Student Union Auditorium, Bldg 58 West, Room 2704. As we prepare to begin a new academic and fiscal year, I wanted to tell you how grateful we are for all that you have been doing on behalf of the University, especially in light of the budget difficulties that the state has been experiencing during this economic downturn. I know that you have been working harder and that resources have been tighter, and it’s important to me that we take the time to tell you that your efforts have not gone unnoticed.
As we did last year, I am extending UNF’s winter break as one way of thanking you. This year we will begin the winter break Thursday, Dec. 24, and it will extend through Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010. University operations will get back to normal Monday, Jan. 4. During these 11 days off, I hope you will have opportunities to spend time with family and friends, enjoying the season and relaxing. You’ve earned it. Once again, thank you for contributing to UNF’s continued success.
