Bright Futures Update

The 2009 Florida Legislature made significant changes to the Bright Futures scholarship program, which became effective beginning Fall 2009. Pursuant to the legislation, Bright Futures will no longer cover a percentage of your tuition, but will be awarded in flat dollar amounts as follows.

Florida Academic Scholars	$126 per credit hour	(Formerly 100%)
Florida Medallion Scholars	$95 per credit hour	(Formerly 75%)
Gold Seal Vocational	$95 per credit hour	(Formerly 75%)
Academic Top Scholars	$54 per credit hour

Note: If you withdraw from course(s), you will have to return a portion of your scholarship and may jeopardize the renewal of your scholarship for subsequent years.
