Sophomores Moving to Junior Status

All Majors:

Prerequisite courses require minimum grade of C.

Must pass or be exempt from all sections of the CLAST prior to earning 60 credit hours.

Nine hours of mandatory summer course work prior to earning Bachelor's degree.

Arts & Sciences Majors:

Bachelor of Arts majors in the College of Arts and Sciences must complete eight hours of the same intensive foreign language or nine hours of foreign culture courses. If the state requirement for foreign language has not been met, then the student is required to do foreign language. Prerequisite courses require minimum grade of C.

Business Majors:

Required prerequisites and other required course work in the College of Business may not be used for credit toward an academic degree if taken more than five years ago. Prerequisite courses require a minimum grade of C. Advisors in the College of Business will be happy to answer questions concerning the various ways to validate course work which is beyond the five year limit.

General Education and foreign language must be completed before reaching senior standing.

Business prerequisites taken and failed at UNF, must be repeated at UNF.

Computer Science and Engineering:

Prerequisite courses require a minimum grade of C.

Engineering - a 2.5 GPA is required in both the Physics and Calculus sequences.

Computer Science - students who do not successfully complete a prerequisite or core requirement within two attempts will not be permitted to register for Computer Science courses in future semesters.

 

Education Majors:

Prerequisite courses require a minimum grade of C. Required 2.5 cumulative GPA (GPA calculation includes all courses taken at UNF and other institutions. This GPA is for admission to the College of Education and Human Services purposes only).

Passing scores on all sections of the CLAST exam or General Knowledge (GK) exam are required prior to admission into upper division level.

College of Health:

Prerequisite courses require a minimum grade of C.

Athletic Training Majors:

Students admitted only in fall of junior year.

All prerequisite courses must be completed or in progress upon application to the program. Prerequisite courses require a minimum grade of C.

GPA highly competitive for admission.

Students must complete the supplemental application at http://www.unf.edu/coh/smatapp.pdf by the designated deadline.

Nursing Majors:

Students admitted only for summer or fall terms.

All prerequisite courses must be completed or in progress upon application to the program. Prerequisite courses require a minimum grade of C.

GPA highly competitive for admission.

All general education courses must be completed prior to starting the nursing program.
