The Environmental Center is incorporating yoga and clean ups into one great event! The Yoga Cleanup combines the health of the body as well as the health of the environment. After a guided session of yoga, participants will then partake in a community cleanup. Join the Facebook event for this great cleanup!

Come out to the Sawmill Slough Preserve for a special nighttime collection of insects. This fun volunteer event will add new insects to the Sawmill Slough Preserve Digital Archive. This event has a volunteer limit, so please register ASAP.

The Department of Art and Design, Gallery of Art and the Environmental Center are pleased to announce Pre[serve], a juried art exhibition that celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Sawmill Slough Preserve. This exhibition will showcase works that share personal experiences, inspire others to connect with this environment and evoke awareness of the Preserve's perpetuity. Join us for the opening of the exhibition and enjoy beer, wine and hors d'oeuvres. The exhibition opening reception will be Thursday, Oct. 18, and will be displayed until Friday, Nov. 18.

Join the UNF Vegetarian and Vegan Association for a screening of the eye-opening documentary "Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret". A FREE indian dinner will be served to all attending.

This Halloween-themed event will feature various educational activities for students to take part in, including an up-cycled costume contest, “trashy” relay race, and an eco-dinner. There will be a trick-or-treat style activity where students will collect “punches” on a card by visiting and speaking with various sustainably-minded organizations on campus.

Join the Ogier Gardens for workshops throughout the month of October on topics such as organic gardening, composting and much more. The workshops are free and open to all UNF students, faculty and staff. Visit the Ogier Gardens Facebook page for details.
