University System of Florida Johnson Scholarship 2018 – 2019

The Johnson Scholarship, funded by the Johnson Scholarship Foundation, is a competitively awarded program which is available to undergraduate students with disabilities enrolled in a State University System of Florida (SUS) institution.

2017-2018 DRC-Student Government (SG) Scholarship

Student Government (SG) Disability Resource Center Scholarship 2017-2018


Award: One recipient will be awarded $1,500, disbursed half in the fall and half in the spring terms.

 

Requirements:

 

Must have a minimum UNF cumulative GPA of 2.75

Must receive no other SG scholarships

Must be an enrolled UNF student with a minimum of 6 hours each semester

Must be registered with the Disability Resource Center

Must provide a typed resume and one page essay describing how your educational experience at UNF has prepared you for life after college

Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) 

Must be in good standing with the University


Scholarship applications will be available on the Student Government website beginning Monday, August 28th.  The deadline for applications to be submitted to the Student Government Business Office is Monday, September 25, 2017 by 5:00 p.m.

Award

3 Graduates Students      award = $900
7 Undergraduate              award = $800

Eligibility

 

Graduate students must be enrolled in six credit-hours and Undergraduates must be enrolled in twelve  
credit-hours for fall 2016. Payment will be awarded in Spring 2017. Students must be registered with the DRC. 

 

Graduate students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 minimum. Undergraduates must have a  
cumulative GPA of 2.5 minimum. Student may not receive other Student Government competitive scholarships.

Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).

Catholic Charities Jacksonville Workforce Development Program

Since August 2012, the Catholic Charities Workforce Development Program has helped hundreds of low-income unemployed or underemployed adults find work. Clients work with professional and compassionate staff who provide one-on-one assistance, job readiness training, creation of individual work plans, job referrals, and supportive services for a period of four months through the job search process. Partnerships with local agencies, educational institutions, and employers allow staff to provide a full array of employment services. Please call 904-900-7943 Ext. 1204 for more information.
