Known Issues and fixes for Dreamweaver

Summary: The errror occurs when uploading existing documents to the Osprey webserver you get one of the following errors.

Connect only some of the time or failures to connect
550 errors. Unable to connect to server.

File and folder names
Unable to transfer files or folders. General information about file-naming conventions.

Proxy servers
550 errors. Unable to connect to server. General information about proxy servers.

Server permissions
Unable to transfer or delete files or folders. General information about Web server permissions.

Other server issues
550 errors. 'The Process Cannot Access the File Because It Is Being Used By Another Process' error message. 'No Synchronization is Necessary' error message. 'Cannot Create Directory...It Already Exists' error message. Unable to check out or rename file.

Fix:

1. First, make sure you have the current file backed up your local machine. Make any changes and edits.

2. Upload the new file. When the error occurs, "Permission Denied." Try deleting the file from the remote side and publishing from the local side.
