How it can help: The A&P Association acts as a forum for
A&P staff and is the voice for those staff members in the administration.
•Center for Instruction and Research Technology (CIRT)
Location: Honors Hall, Building 10, Room 1150.

How it can help: Faculty may visit CIRT for consultations
concerning course development and technology, research software and
publication projects. CIRT staff routinely provide one-on-one training
sessions on Blackboard, digital video, multimedia software, research
applications such as SPSS and productivity software such as EndNote.
Faculty also can check out laptops, portable LCD projects, digital cameras
and camcorders. At CIRT's Web site one can view streaming video of past
CIRT and Faculty Enhancement events, as well as technical help, resource
links, copyright help and more. CIRT is a division of the Office of
Faculty Enhancement.
•Center for Professional Development and Training

How it can help: The center provides free short training
courses for various software applications, including Blackboard. Training
sessions are held on campus at various sites each semester. Online training
through ElementK also is available.
•Division of Sponsored Research and Training

How it can help: Sponsored Research helps faculty identify
sources for external funding for research and training projects. It
also assists in preparing proposals and coordinating grant administration.
The office also handles the Institutional Review Board for Human Subjects
and Committee for Animal Care and Use. IRB forms are available through
the office’s Web site. The Web site also has links for grant-writing
help.
•Faculty Association
Location: Social Sciences Building (Building 11), Room

How it can help: The Faculty Association plays a role
in such things as faculty appointment, tenure; academic programs, organization
and standards; academic services and continuing education; and faculty
advancement. Faculty also can submit questions via the association to
the administration. It gives out teaching, research and service awards
each year.

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-10 p.m.; Friday-Saturday,
noon – 8 p.m. (Hours vary during holiday and academic breaks.)

How it can help: If you have software or hardware problems,
the Help Desk is the one to call. This includes password, printer and
network connection problems.

How it can help: ITS oversees Networking and Voice
Services, User Services, Help Desk, Campus Audio Visual and General
Purpose Labs.
•Office of Faculty Enhancement

How it can help: OFE offers workshops, demonstrations
and faculty-initiated consultations and classroom observations. It also
has a resource library geared toward faculty development, promotions
and tenure. Model tenure documents are available in the library or online.
The office also encourages research and interdepartmental collaborations.
A UNF Faculty Survival CD is available in the office or through the
OFE Web site. OFE helps organize athletic and cultural events for groups.
The office also sponsors Faculty Fellows and an Faculty Artists Series.
•USPA, University Support Personnel Association

How it can help: USPA helps to resolve problems or
concerns for USPS employees by working with the administration and sets
goals to enhance services provided by the University. USPA also offers
educational assistance awards.
