IMT Unveils Marketing Match Program

An innovative program designed to promote branding while assisting units with marketing projects was approved recently by the Integrated Marketing Team.

Called the Marketing Match or M&M program, the initiative will assist departments with funding of marketing projects that also help to build the University’s brand identity.

Under the program, a University unit may submit an application for up to $5,000 in one-to-one matching funds per semester.  Each unit submitting an application must submit a marketing plan for the particular project that briefly explains goals, target audiences, costs and the manner in which results will be evaluated.

The IMT will then review each application in terms of whether the project not only advances the goal of the unit but also builds the University’s brand awareness.

The Office of Marketing and Publications will administer all matching funds. Approved funding will be transferred into the E&G budget of the requesting unit. The unit will be responsible for executing all necessary requisitions and complying with all Purchasing regulations.

Each unit awarded funding under the M&M program must submit proposed designs to the Office of Marketing and Publications for review to assure compliance with Visual Identity Standards and the University’s branding program.

Following the completion of each project, units will be asked to submit a report to the IMT verifying how the M&M funding was expended and the results of the marketing program.
