Academic Skills Assessments Computerized Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST)

This is an academic skills assessment test for teachers. There are three parts to the test - reading, mathematics, and writing. These three tests may be taken separately or together. The combined PPST fee is $130. Taken separately, the fees are as follows: one test is $80; two tests are $120; and three tests are $160. The PRAXIS I test fee is payable by check, money order, Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.

Testing is offered Monday through Friday at 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. To schedule an appointment, call the Office of Academic Testing at 904-620-1973 or PRAXIS at 1-800-853-6773. Walk-in testing is permitted on a space available basis. We do recommend that you schedule an appointment, but if you decide to test as a walk-in you must be in the office to 30 minutes prior to the session start time and be aware that space is limited.

To reschedule or cancel a PRAXIS appointment, examinees must call at least three business days before the scheduled appointment and there is a $15 rescheduling fee per appointment.
