The Center for Student Media exists as an umbrella organization for UNF’s campus newspaper/Web site, radio station and TV station. Though they have a professional journalist to provide guidance and advice, student media at UNF is just that: student-run, student-produced, student-focused.

  Our Mission
The mission of the Center for Student Media is to provide the university community with news, entertainment, and a forum for the exchange of ideas, while also providing an educational learning environment for students. Through the production of various mass media outlets, students gain practical experience in newsgathering and the dissemination, management, production, advertising, and business aspects of the industry.

  The Spinnaker
It’s both a weekly newspaper and a Web site updated daily. The paper is available each Wednesday at more than 25 racks on campus and has a circulation of 4,000 students; the Web site draws up to 500 unique visitors a day at www.unfspinnaker.com. For news call (904) 620-2727, and for advertising: (904) 620-1599. The office of the Spinnaker is located in Building 58E/2213.

  Osprey Radio
UNF’s own WOSP plays everything from College Top 20 to jazz and from talk to blues. The station streams online around the world, and should be available to the campus’ 16,000-plus students and staff and faculty via cable beginning in the fall. Listen online at www.ospreyradio.com. For news and sponsorships, call (904) 620-2908. The office of Osprey Radio is located in Building 58E/2202.

  Osprey Television
All of UNF’s 3,000-plus students who live in on-campus housing have access to Osprey TV’s mix of just-out-of-the-theater movies, Osprey sports and student-produced news and feature shows. And in the fall, Osprey TV will stream online, allowing the rest of the student body, staff and faculty to watch anywhere, anytime. Osprey TV is on Channel 118 on Comcast on campus, and it’s at www.ospreytv.com on the Web. For news and sponsorships, call (904) 620-2260. The office of Osprey Television is located in Building 58E/2219.
