Facilities & Administrative (Indirect Costs) Rates:

UNF's facilities and administrative costs are negotiated with the US Department of Health and Human Services and the agreement is located here. Determining and calculating the appropriate F&A rate can be a complex process based on many variables, please contact ORSP for assistance.

  • On-campus rate for organized research: 43.5%
  • On-campus rate for other sponsored activities: 35%
  • Off-campus rate for organized research and other sponsored activities: 26%
  • Local Government and Social Service Agencies: 20%
  • State of Florida Rate: 5% TDC (Florida Department of Transportation rate: 25%)
  • Non-standard sponsor's rates are honored if they are specifically limited in the FOA, in authorizing legislation, or in the sponsor's published policy

Travel Expenses/Reimbursement (effective July 1, 2006):

  • Per diem rate for travelers: $80
  • Breakfast rate for travelers: $6
  • Lunch rate for travelers: $11
  • Dinner rate for travelers: $19
  • Per mile rate for travelers using a privately owned vehicle: $0.445 per mile
