Physical Facilities Philosophy and Mission

The Physical Facilities Division plays a vital role in the operation of the University. The primary role of Physical Facilities is to assist in planning, creating, maintaining and operating an environment conducive to learning and research. The primary objective of the Physical Facilities Division is to maintain a safe, clean, healthy and aesthetically pleasant environment in which students, faculty and staff can function and accomplish educational objectives with as little interruption and interference as possible.
The mission may be more narrowly defined as the responsibility for economical, timely and responsible operation and maintenance of all physical facilities of the University of North Florida as well as the responsible care and maintenance of an extensive and complex natural ecosystem.
