UNF Complaint Process
Background
Your views and input are important in helping to maintain the integrity of the University of North Florida (UNF). Therefore, UNF has several methods of reporting information such as complaints, grievances, etc.
The Office of Internal Auditing (OIA) has established and maintains a process for our customers (students, general public, etc) and employees to voice grievances against the University related to
- fraud
- waste
- abuse of resources
In addition to UNF's internal process, the State of Florida maintains Get Lean and Whistleblower hotlines designed to provide the public with a mechanism to disclose grievances with local and state government agencies and affiliates. These are explained in greater detail below to assist you in determining where and what to report.

File Complaint Directly With UNF
The process for filing complaints depends heavily on the nature of the complaint as follows:

State of Florida Get Lean Complaint
The purpose of Get Lean Reporting is to allow citizens of the State of Florida to provide information on ways to improve government efficiency and effectiveness in its operations and reduce incidence of waste. State of Florida Whistleblower Complaint
The Florida Whisteblower is for reporting illegal or fraudulent acts, gross waste of public funds or neglect of duty. Full Whistleblower details are contained in Florida Statutes §112.3187 to §112.31895. Summary information can be found here.
